Races begin with a cool video camera-style intro, the snow effects are nice, and your clothes flap realistically in the wind as you speed along. When you bail out, the whole screen fills with a white powder effect, as the camera blurs the background and your character's clothes are covered in snow.
It's a pleasant surprise, to say the least. It may not be the super-simulating behemoth of its counterparts, but its simplicity, fun-focused design actually puts it in a league of its own. It's easy to master (if a little too easy in general), and although the course design can be a little dull at times, all in all it's an extremely satisfying game.
Not quite as stuffed with content as SSX Blur but the charm-filled SWS takes snowboarding games to new heights with its controls.
