And last but not least, the motion-controlled fighting will likely be great for a laugh during multiplayer sessions. While it's not as robust as, say, Wii Boxing, the visceral feeling of inflicting punishment with a forward-thrusting motion is always welcome. The combat in NHL 2K9 is unique, as you'll have to keep your character's balance by rotating the nunchuck while you punch with the Wii remote. Like in real hockey, falling to the ice generally ends the fight with the slipper being declared the loser. But, for the most part, it's pretty simplistic.
